Welcome to the USA Map
Data layers included on the CAMP map for the USA reflect climate justice issues that have captured national attention. These include the movement to keep fossil fuels in the ground on public lands, as well as indigenous sovereignty and anti-pipeline efforts that are also about climate justice. Both the Dakota Access and Keystone XL Pipelines have been major focal points for national climate justice movements in the USA.
This map was built using an ESRI Story Maps platform and displays best when opened in a separate page.
The CAMP USA Map shows six types of data:
- Oil and gas pipelines
- Major oil and gas pipeline spills since 1986
- Utility scale power plants (fossil fuels and renewables)
- Federal public land
- Tribal land (as defined by the BIA)
- Crowdsourced digital stories that anyone can upload
